What is microneedling?
Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy. It’s a non-surgical, minimally-invasive procedure which is designed to encourage the production of collagen, the compound that gives your skin its elasticity and strength. Although the process may sound somewhat invasive, it is important to know that any discomfort is minor and superficial, and in any case, your skin will be prepared with a numbing cream to further reduce any discomfort. After the cream has been applied, and your skin cleaned using an antibacterial wash, the process begins. It usually takes approximately 30 minutes.
The procedure involves the placing of small needles across your skin. Our experienced microneedling practitioners use special tools that they position for the greatest benefit. At the end of the treatment, a soothing serum can be applied to the treated area. The facial skin is expected to show some redness for a few days after the treatment; this is a natural healing process and will subside, ideally giving way to a brighter complexion.When will I see results?
This is something that you are best off asking the practitioner at the time of the treatment. Most people find that they experience impressive results within just weeks of their first course of microneedling, while others may require more than one treatment to get the most from the process.
